20 June 2017 – Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu today presented Sabah Head of State TYT Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Hj Juhar Hj Mahiruddin with a Hari Raya cake on the occasion of the coming Raya Celebration. That particular Briyani Gam station caught our attention. It’s that first impression that matters. Big whole Lamb with Briyani Rice were indeed the stars here, at least for us. It’s our first Iftar experience outside home this year. A dining experience that we will cherish for a very long time as the dishes were just amazing in numbers, taste and presentation. This is our Iftar experience at the famous Bazaar Ramadhan 2017 at Latest Recipe, by Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu.

Known for its extensive buffet spread in the Ramadhan Bazaar, spending some of your hard-earned money here is DEFINITELY one decision that will make you and your family/friends happy. Kota Kinabalu, 25 March 2017 – Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu activated Earth Hour with cleaning of the hotel surroundings led by General Manager Rachael Harman. The hotel also shared the hour with dining guests at the lobby on Saturday as a prelude to the hour-long Lights Off exercise that evening.

In conjunction with Lunar New Year, Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu has organized a visit to Holy Family Residence old folks home at Purak, Papar. The home has a total number of 37 residents. Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu visited the home and brought along the food that was prepared by the associates.

There’s one recent prestigious event, The Sabah Food Awards 2016 which was organized by SabahEats (Link to their Blog). The event was held on December 10, 2016 (Saturday) at Azure Pool Bar & Cafe, Le Meridien Hotel Kota Kinabalu. Apart from the winners, YB Datuk Kamarlin Hj Ombi (Assistant Minister for the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah), bloggers, friends and instagramers attended the event. The event is about giving recognition to the winners of each category and winners were voted by the public (mass) via SabahEats blog from October 12, 2016 to November 15,2016.

Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu initiated the season’s festivities at the hotel with a choral performance by 15 children from Kinabalu International School. A Christmas tree lighting ceremony with about 70 invited guests held simultaneously provided an appreciative audience for the children who filled the air with magical tunes of Christmas Carols and 25 #deafjam performers who did a sign language flash mob at The Hub, lobby level.
