Hyatt Regency Kinabalu;s latest off-site catering services features the first “Mobile Kitchen” in Kota Kinabalu. The idea was conceptualized by Chef Tunku Farazil, the Executive Chef to further enhance the catering services offered by the hotel.
Moving forward, as the hotel has achieved its HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and MS1480 standards, which means that the Events Catering product will be taken to new heights in offering a higher level of quality and assurance to its customers. The Mobile Kitchen is part of the hotel’s business diversification initiative, which also aims at bringing the familiar Tanjung Ria Kitchen’s live open kitchen concept to the diners’ venues of choice. The mobile kitchen concept holds true to Hyatt’s global food and beverage philosophy-Food. Thoughtfully Sourced. Carefully Served.
The mobile kitchen will be utilized to serve and prepare à la minute food preparation for offsite catering events in the Kota Kinabalu city area and within a proximity of 15 kilometers catering to all events for up to 200 persons. The brand new mobile kitchen consists of fully equipped kitchenware ranging from an oven, deep fryer, flat top grill, wok stove, under counter chiller and a walk in the freezer.
A selection of menu items are available and can be customized to meet the client’s requirements.

Add-on items of a sit down dome dinner catering event.
MYR80.00 nett per person for a minimum of 50 persons. Five menu items include cold, deep-fried, wok fried, pan fried, sauced dishes and dessert.
On top of a catering menu, the mobile kitchen may be used to offer additional add-on items at an extra cost. Included items may be more premium offerings such as roasts or carvings.
Additional Beverage- MYR5.00 nett per person for soft drinks or chilled juices.
Terms & Conditions
-A minimum spend of MYR4,000 with minimum total of 50 persons at MYR 80.00 nett per person.
-The price per person will increase should the number of persons fall below 50 pax and more premium items may be offered when maintaining only 5 items.
-Minimum spend does not include beverages.
-No cash sales will be processed through the mobile kitchen.
-Pre-payment to be made before the event through the Event Sales Catering Team.

Frequently Asked Questions
1-Minimum and maximum numbers for the mobile kitchen?
No minimum but the mobile kitchen can accommodate up to 200 guests.
2-Can a full course meal (including dessert) be prepared from the mobile kitchen?
Yes. Food preparation is fresh and à la minute.
3-Any sit-down meal service being offered for the customers?
Yes, if the event requires whilst the food is prepared from the mobile kitchen.
4-Can the client customize the menu and request individual quotations based on their individual budget?
There is a standard menu but the team would be happy to customize a menu to suit any requirements.
5-Can the mobile kitchen do standalone food truck selling “grab and go” items similar to other food trucks in town?
Unfortunately at this time, the mobile kitchen is not a “food truck” and does not accept cash transactions.
6-Is it going to be open for public? If yes, what will be the truck’s hours of operation?
The mobile kitchen will be utilized to provide food at the hotel when not in use for events. Friday to Saturday from 4.00PM to 12.00AM and Sunday from 4.00PM to 10.00PM.
7-Is the mobile kitchen halal?
The kitchen in the hotel is certified halal. All ingredients used for food preparation are halal.
