About a month ago, Alisa Roslan was crowned as the first Ratu Empayar Sajian NESTUM® after a thrilling finale cook-off with four other finalists at Sunway Pyramid shopping mall. She cooked traditional pumpkin dessert soup with coconut milk, brown sugar, pandan and NESTUM®. That particular dessert made her the winner of the competition. We’re happy to share with you all her creation, a dessert named as Serawa Labu Manis.

Sahur Experience 2016 @ Victoria’s Brasserie, Dorsett Grand Labuan

We stayed at the Dorsett Grand Labuan on July 2, 2016 and having to fast the next day, we went for our Sahur at 3.00 am (July 3,2016). We intend to share to our blog readers what we saw and experience during the Sahur at Victoria’s Brasserie, Dorsett Grand Labuan. Similar to the Break Fast/Sungkai post (here is the LINK), this entry might be a bit too late for most people as Ramadhan month is over. However, this entry can be a good reference for future guests at Dorsett Grand Labuan during Ramadhan month in 2017. At Dorsett Grand Labuan, Sahur is a replacement or an option for the usual Breakfast and offered to Muslim guests.

Longest Sungkai Buffet 2016 @ Dorsett Grand Labuan

Serving 220 food items to delight guests taste buds, Victoria’s Brasserie @ Dorsett Grand Labuan claimed to have the Longest Sungkai Buffet in Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan. We both traveled all the way to Labuan from Kota Kinabalu just to be able to break fast here and see for ourselves if the Sungkai Buffet is really ‘Long’ enough as suggested by the name/theme in the Dorsett Grand Promotional Banner. For most people, this post might be a bit too late to be published as Ramadhan month is over. It’s Syawal Month now. However, this write-up has one long run objective. This write-up will enable future guests in 2017 to compare the products(foods) offered in 2016.

“We recently had this opportunity to feast at the Tanjung Ria Kitchen, feasting for the finest dishes by @hyattregencykinabalu. We’re not only amazed by the overall concept of the foods and restaurant’s atmosphere but we’re having this unexplained thoughts about homecoming. 14 years ago, we had the same buffet meals here during Ramadhan and now we’re back again. Is this ‘home’ for us?”
