“Blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing.”-Camille Pissarro

We had the chance to stay at The Magellan Sutera Resort, Sutera Harbour Resort recently. The resort is uniquely different from other resorts that we have been to. Some say, the difference is due to its unique architecture that is pretty much inspired by the Rungus longhouses of Borneo. For the two of us, this resort gave us that tranquility of the sea that we’ve witnessed from our own balcony. We felt so relaxed here. This is truly great resort in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. We love our room so much that we dedicate this entry alone to review the room that we stayed in for 1 night. A short stay but we both saw many beautiful things in this mammoth resort that always stay humble. We really mean that.

“When I admire the wonders of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands into the worship of the creator”Mahatma Gandhi

Imagine this. You’re tired from that long journey on the plane, arriving at your destination and then to your hotel. You received your key card and when you open the door of your room, you found a balcony with some comfy deck chairs. The sunset view is there waiting for you. The sea breeze is giving you that freshest air that you needed most. Sit and enjoy the moment, every day, if you want to. We had that moment at The Pacific Sutera Hotel, Sutera Harbour Resort at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. We had that breathtaking view of South China Sea and the Islands nearby. We sat on the deck chairs, enjoying the sea breeze, on the balcony attached to our Deluxe Sea View Twin Room.

BIG Thank you: Malaysia Airlines, Enrich Malaysia Airlines & Oaks Goldsbrough Apartment-Darling Harbour:Sydney

There are many Hotels in Sydney, Australia but we end up choosing Oaks Goldsbrough Apartment @ Darling Harbour. Current exchange rate is definitely the biggest factor when we have to decide which hotel to stay, especially when travelling overseas. To be honest. Oaks Goldsbrough Apartment was not the cheapest when we googled for some Sydney hotels information, there were some better rates not to mention up to date and branded hotels. We both initially thought it might be much wiser to use some of our available Loyalty Programme Points and stay at our favorite brand. We did not. We always save the best for last. We finally chose Oaks Goldsbrough Apartment and we did that because of 7 logical reasons, at least for the two of us. Might work for you too…
