AirAsia X has received clearance from the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) to fly to the US. The airline is the first Asian low-cost carrier to secure approval to operate scheduled passenger flights to the US. The approval allows AirAsia’s long-haul, low-cost sister airline to operate services to any destination within the US.

AirAsia has been named World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline for the fourth year in a row at the 23rd World Travel Awards (WTA) Grand Final held in December 2016. Asia’s largest low-cost carrier beat contenders from five continents to secure the award, including Ryanair, easyJet, Jetstar Airways, Southwest Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Norwegian, Kulula, Mango, fastjet, flydubai, Air Arabia, flynas and West Air.

Yes, we read a lot and we read Indonesian online news portal like every single day. We do that as we are avid travelers and Indonesia is our preferred country, a place that offers many exciting destinations. Few days ago, Kompas.com (Here is the LINK) published one very ‘sad’ news, announcing that there will be no longer direct service by AirAsia Indonesia from Jakarta-Kinabalu-Jakarta, effective January 10, 2017. The news is even confirmed by Bobby Alex, Marketing Manager of Sabah Tourism Board.

AirAsia flies direct from Kuala Lumpur to Luang Prabang, Laos

AirAsia is now operating direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to the UNESCO Heritage City of Luang Prabang, Laos with four times weekly flights starting 21 November 2016. This is the 70th intra-Asean route connecting all ten Asean Countries, as well as the airline’s fourth route into Laos after Kuala Lumpur-Vientiane, Bangkok-Vientiane and Bangkok-Luang Prabang.
