(Invited Review) (This Eatery is HALAL CERTIFIED)

We both came here on Friday, August 4, 2017. Although this was the 2nd time we have been to this eatery, this particular Friday BBQ Cookout Buffet Dinner was a first for us. The eatery is better known as Coffee House and is located on level 3M. We came around 6 pm and the buffet was to start at 6.30 pm. Staff were already busy setting up all stations/buffet spread. The BBQ area was quite ‘smoky’ as the whole roasted lamb was nearing its perfection, almost cooked! Chefs were seen barbecuing all types of meats, including Satay! This is our review about Friday BBQ Cookout Buffet Dinner at Soluxe Hotel Kota Kinabalu (formerly known as Narada Hotel)

(This is an invited review but honestly written)

Some are pretty skeptical about the idea of dining 50 m up in the air. Some are just brave enough. Some are in between while some think it’s once in a lifetime thing to do. Up to this moment, safety issues, worthiness in terms of pricing and what diners gets in the end are the top questions being asked by our readers. We were among the first 44 people in Sabah to go on board this suspended sky platform to fully experience Dinner in The Sky. This review is to give readers precise picture of our experience and perhaps that will help them to be well-prepared before coming to Sutera Harbour Resort.

Thought of the day-” To become successful and outstanding at something, we don’t have to come up with something new; we need only find ways of doing it better.”- Earl Nightingale

Weeks ago, we read about Alif Satar opening up a new Cafe in Kota Kinabalu. We did discuss about the possibility of visiting. We did not go, until recently. We searched high and low for some information about A’S Cafe. With minimum information, we contacted Mukhriz (the Manager) and told him that we’re coming. We’re about to visit a cafe that we know very little about. We initially did not have any expectation or even ably to imagine the outcome. Nothing. We went and this is how we saw and experienced things at A’S Cafe.

Our Sungkai experience @ Garage Kafe, Kota Kinabalu

Thought of the day-“To eat is a necessity, but to eat intelligently is an art.”-Francois De La Rochefoucauld

It is a cafe located on the roadside, not belonging to any of 5 star properties. We were here twice, this is our third visit. We’re here to break fast or to have our Iftar. Yes, we were invited but as most have known already, we are two stubborn writers. We do stick to our honest opinions and we write things, as we see it, not by what others have seen. This is Garage Kafe, a cafe that is increasingly becoming quite popular among diners in Kota Kinabalu city. Our break fast session at Garage Kafe was one of the best Sungkai in Ramadhan Month 2017.

Thought of the day-” Price is what you pay, value is what you get.”-Warren Buffet

We recently had our Iftar at Dreamtel Cafe, Dreamtel Kota Kinabalu. This hotel is located in the city center, next to Padang Bandaran. The buffet price is RM60 nett per adult and RM30 nett per child. We do think that the price is reasonable and we recommend this place for your next Iftar. Do note that the Ramadan Buffet Dinner is from 2 June 2017 to 18 June 2017 only, on weekends (Friday to Saturday). This week is their final week for the Ramadan Buffet Dinner therefore we do encourage you to start making reservations. To give you an idea about how the buffet looks like, here is our Photo Gallery so that you can  familiarize yourself with the buffet presentation.
