For HYATT House Kuala Lumpur Mont’Kiara
Bennett Peter, General Manager of HYATT House Kuala Lumpur Mont’Kiara, addressing the audiences during the Hyatt House ‘Heart Safe Campaign’ event.
In conjunction with World Heart Day on September 29, and to create more awareness on the importance of life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skill, HYATT House Kuala Lumpur, Mont’Kiara partnered with UEM Sunrise and Global Doctors Hospital to organize the Heart Safe Campaign 2018. The initiative aimed to empower the surrounding Mont’Kiara community on an alternative CPR technique without mouth-to-mouth resuscitation which is more effective in cases of emergencies.
Many residents benefited from the informative session which also saw full participation from HYATT House staff. Residents and HYATT House staff were paired and assigned to certified CPR trainers from Global Doctors Hospital as they observed and learned first-hand the correct technique of hands-only CPR, involving rapid, deep presses on the chest area.
The event also comprised insightful talk by Global Doctors Hospital’s representative, Dr Navind, live performance by Beat City Band – special needs’ youth group from PDK Selayang, sharing session with the community, along with a tasting session of HYATT House’s healthy signature bites.
HYATT House Kuala Lumpur, which set to open its doors very soon, will be the first hotel in Mont’Kiara to be equipped with in-hotel automated external defibrillator (AED) to prepare for any case of emergencies, alongside their CPR-trained staff.
