Aerotel, The Bar & newest Plaza Premium Lounge at gateway@klia2

During our recent transit at KLIA2, we had the opportunity to visit Aerotel, The Bar and newest Plaza Premium Lounge which are conveniently located next to each other at gateway@klia2. These latest facilities by Plaza Premium Group are designed for all type of travellers who are arriving at or departing from Terminal klia2.




Location of Aerotel at gateway@klia2


The entrance to Aerotel is located just next to the main reception desk and upon entering, one will be in this long corridor with it beautifully carpeted floor. This corridor leads to guestrooms. There are four types of room available at Aerotel is designed by travellers for travellers. This one-of-a-kind book-by-hour airport transit hotel concept aims to offer convenient and comfortable accommodation for travellers.

Solo Plus


There are a total of 7 Solo Plus Rooms and is 20sqm in size. This type of room offers one single bed and perfect for single travellers who require a private space to refresh and recharge.

Double Plus


There are 56 Double Plus Rooms with Twin Beds (25sqm) and 13 rooms with one double bed/ Queen (22sqm), making it a total of 69 rooms in this particular category. This type of room is indeed spacious enough for 2 guests to rest and unwind comfortably.

Double Squared 


Designed for 4 travellers to comfortably resting in the room is the Double Squared category. There is currently 1 room available in this category and the size is about 34sqm.



With size of 34sqm, the Family Room is designed for a homey and relaxing stay and it comes with one double bed and 2 single beds. It sleeps 4 people comfortably. There is one unit of Family Room at Aerotel, gateway@klia2.

Guest Room Features



Each room comes with en-suite bathroom with powerful shower and amenities, select mattress and pillows, individually controlled air-condition, television, hair-dryer, complimentary WiFi, auto-boiler, coffee/tea making facilities, security key-card access, a writing table and a chair.


Interestingly, there is an open space, a sort of big ‘balcony’ which is for the exclusive use of guests staying at Aerotel. Here, guests may take the opportunity to do some plane spotting activity while enjoying the outside warm temperature without having to exit the terminal. This area however is strictly a non-smoking area.


The Bar


The Bar, Aerotel Kuala Lumpur is the perfect meeting venue for those awaiting or seeing off their guests as it is located on the landside of gateway @klia2. It is located across Aerotel Kuala Lumpur is the Bar; measuring over 60 square metres in size with the capacity of over 40 seats, it is the only watering hole in gateway@klia2.


Cosy and inviting, with high stools and cocktail tables as well as lounge seating, come in for a refreshing pint before take-off or catch the latest sporting event live on the big-screen TV. In regard to the menu, it includes a delectable selection of nibbles and snacks, main course dishes and desserts with an impressive beverage list, not forgetting the signature cold/ slow-pressed juices.



Plaza Premium Lounge


Just next to Aerotel Kuala Lumpur and the Bar is another new Plaza Premium Lounge facility, bringing the number of Plaza Premium Lounge locations in gateway@klia2 to two. Opens 24 hours daily, the lounge provides 80 comfortable seats within the lounge and dining areas.

Plaza Premium Lounge offers its signature services and hallmark features such as friendly and attentive staff, comfortable sofa seating, Wi-Fi, TV, work stations, charging sockets and a sumptuous selection of local and international food and beverage options, this airport oasis welcomes all travellers regardless of their airline or class of travel.

The lounge is equipped with one VIP room, and three meeting rooms accommodating 4 to 22 people, these meeting rooms are your private space for meetings and discussions, away from the hustle and bustle at the airport.
