Hyatt Regency Kinabalu played host to more than 40 children of Rumah Anak Yatim Asnah As Sakinah and Tahfiz Al Quran Masjid Pekan Menggatal. The event was held on Thursday, 7 June 2018 at The Residence and were attended by Kinabalu International Hotel Board of Directors as well as the hotel’s teams from different departments.
Mr.Thor Gervasi (Standing)
Leading the Hotel’s team was Mr.Thor Gervasi, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Kinabalu. Together, through this noble effort, they ensured that the hotel’s is not only focusing on its business goals but but giving equal attention towards the importance of ‘giving back to the society’.
Just before it’s time to break-fast, guests were invited to pick their favorites from the sumptuous buffet spread and as Tanjung Ria Kitchen is well-known for, foods served were not only great in quantity but in quality as well. For this Ramadan month, the offering includes the Indian delights such as naan and tandoori, oven baked cheese filled flat-bread, as well as selections from Chinese section; Chicken and Duck Rice. At the dessert section, Bubur Durian is indeed, the talk of the town!
Our team was privileged to break-fast with other invited guests during the event and everyone enjoyed the dining experience. Ramadan is not only about fasting and abstaining from pleasures but it is also about sharing and caring. We sensed that in this noble effort by Hyatt Regency Kinabalu and we hope to see that in many years to come.
Soon after Maghrib, Isya’ and Tarawih, the children of Rumah Anak Yatim Asnah As Sakinah and Tahfiz Al Quran Masjid Pekan Menggatal were given ‘Duit Raya’. That’s not all as towards the end of the event, they were each given a memento courtesy of Hyatt Regency Kinabalu.
