KUALA LUMPUR – March 7, 2018Hilton Kuala Lumpur, one of Malaysia’s most awarded 5 star hotels has appointed Gagan Talwar as Hotel Manager in its continuing strategy to remain as the leading business lifestyle hotel in Malaysia. He replaces Linda Pecoraro who has been recently promoted to general manager of Hilton Kota Kinabalu and will support Jamie Mead, regional general manager to oversee the operations and lead the management at Hilton Kuala Lumpur.

Jamie commented on Gagan’s recent appointment, “Kuala Lumpur is continuing to grow in appeal internationally the city was voted in the top 10 of global destinations. With that being said the demand for superior accommodation grows and so does the list of new entrants into the market both for international brands and local independants. He further continued to say that he had been watching Gagan’s development over the past years and felt that he was the perfect fit for the team in Malaysia to maintain the standards and move us forward in our goals.

Gagan who is originally from India, holds a Bachelors in Management/ Minor in Economics from the Emmanuel College, Boston, USA, and Masters in International Business & Management from the Westminster Business School, University of Westminster London, UK.

Gagan said of his recent appointment, “It is an honor being given this role at the most awarded hotel in Kuala Lumpur, I accepted this challenge knowing the high demands of the competitive nature of Malaysia, having worked in Malaysia previously I was personally excited to return and pick up from where I left off having now further developed my expertise in leading teams to accomplish the extraordinary.”

Gagan has lived and worked in more than 10 countries, including India, Indonesia, Germany, Ethiopia, United Arab Emirates, Iran, United States of America, United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand & Vietnam. He returns to Malaysia after six years from leading the Operations and Business Development Team in Hilton Hanoi Opera & Hilton Garden Inn Hanoi.
