20 June 2017 – Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu today presented Sabah Head of State TYT Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Hj Juhar Hj Mahiruddin with a Hari Raya cake on the occasion of the coming Raya Celebration.  The presentation ceremony took place at the State Palace with Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu team led by General Manager Rachael Harman.

The theme for the raya cake was a crescent moon and star an internationally-recognized symbol of Islam. It is also available in our Malaysian flag. In presenting the beautiful cake, Executive Pastry Chef Kris Budiarto share with Tun Juhar and Toh Puan Norlidah the inspiration behind the masterpiece.

General Manager Rachael Harman comments, “Hats off to our Executive Pastry Chef Kris Budiarto and his team for bringing their creativity to light. The masterful craftsmanship of the sugar piece and its 12kg are culinary works of art that aptly reflect Le Meridien passion points on culture, cuisine and art.”
