No need to travel to the former Straits Settlements to enjoy Peranakan cuisine as the queen of Baba Nyonya Cuisine- Chef Florence Tan was specially flown in by Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu to showcase her Baba Nyonya-licious Signature from April 28, 2017 to May 21, 2017 at Promenade Cafe.
The cheerful and bubbly as ever Celebrity Chef Florence Tan officiated her presence in Kota Kinabalu by preparing her 3 signature lip-smacking dishes namely Pie Tee, Chicken Pongteh and Spicy Creamy Prawns with Pineapple (Udang Masak Lemak Nenas Nyonya) in a half an hour cooking demo.
The cooking demo was officially witnessed by Datuk Dr.Yeo Boon Hai (Mayor of Kota Kinabalu City Hall) and Datuk Joniston Bangkuai (Chairman of Sabah Tourism Board) at Promenade Hotel Kota Kinabalu’s 24 hours coffeehouse-Promenade Cafe. Interestingly, together with Datuk Gordon Leong Vui Cheung, they participated in the cooking demo!
