Gallery by @joehairie & @ Lan
We went (and still do) to Tanjung Ria Kitchen at Hyatt Regency Kinabalu quite often now. We saw many good things and captured that moments through our lenses. The images turned out to be something uniquely different, something beautiful and full of colors, at least for the two of us. Allow us to share the Colors of Tanjung Ria Kitchen at Hyatt Regency Kinabalu, a gallery full of colorful foods presented on buffet counters as well as the beautiful people from behind the scenes. We had dinner (À la carte) here as well and will be sharing the images in this entry. To those who have never been to Hyatt Regency Kinabalu, this is a gallery for you to understand and admire the surrounding and happenings at Tanjung Ria Kitchen.
Most of the time, writers, journalists or bloggers will write long or short entries about restaurants and cafes and so does both of us. There are times when we all see too many good things inside restaurants and cafes that make us speechless. Having to spend almost 150 days in a year, in hotels and resorts, sometimes made the two of us ably to appreciate the inner beauty of restaurants and cafes. It is not always about the food alone, neither the complexity of the interior and exterior. It’s more than that.
There are some hidden great things, happening in front of guests but most wouldn’t care because most are food hunters. Their eyes are all on the food, rarely does anyone appreciate anything else than the food. At times, images are the best medium to show the beauty of highlighted subjects..So let us present to you the colors that we’ve both seen at Tanjung Ria Kitchen..the colors of the foods served to guests and the beautiful people behind that buffet stations/counters. We’ve also inserted the photos of great dishes that we had for dinner at Tanjung Ria Kitchen recently. We will let the pictures speaks for themselves…

Our À la carte dinner at Tanjung Ria Kitchen
October 8, 2016
We did have dinner at Tanjung Ria Kitchen and we chose food items from the À la carte menu. Let’s have a look at what we chose. We truly recommend these dishes should you come to Tanjung Ria Kitchen @ Hyatt Regency Kinabalu. We’ve listed the name of each dish that we had.
Oxtail Assam Pedas
The Signature Dish of Hyatt Regency Kinabalu – Braised Oxtail, local spices, herbs, picked vegetables & steamed rice
Nasi Goreng (Fried Rice)
This dish is about delicious Fried Rice served with anchovies, bird’s eye chili, fried egg, satay and fried chicken.
Amazing dish from the Indian Kitchen/Option and in the À la carte menu, it is mentioned that this dish is served with briyani rice or steamed rice, chutney and crackers. However, the waitress told us that we can substitute with Naan Bread. We opted for the delicious Garlic Naan. You may choose to try their amazing Cheese Naan if you want to. We already had it during breakfast so for dinner we wanted to try something else.
Cinnamon Teh Tarik
We do hope you enjoy viewing the gallery. At Tanjung Ria Kitchen, Hyatt Regency Kinabalu, the beauty is not only about the great foods they are serving but those who prepare that food you are about to consume.
